Ms.
Tamara Baird earned a Master of Music
in Music Theory from the Cincinnati-Conservatory
of Music and her Bachelor’s Degree in
Music Theory from Belmont University. Her other
studies include Levels 1A and 1B Suzuki Piano
Certification. Ms. Baird has completed private
and/or master class studies under various musicians
and music theorists including Dr. Kris Elsberry,
Dr. Paul Godwin, Mr. John Arnn, Dr. Robert Zierolf,
Dr. Frank Samarotto, and Dr. Wheaton. Ms. Baird’s
prior teaching experience includes Belmont Academy,
Jan Williams School of Music, Rita Hauck Music
Studio, Willis Music, Cincinnati Musical Arts
Center, and the Bleu Moon School of Music. Ms.
Baird teaches a variety of piano styles including
Suzuki Piano, classical, commercial, jazz with
students ages ranging from 4 years old up to
70 years. Ms. Baird has also tutored students
in music theory, ear training, dictation, composition
and arranging and beginning vocal lessons. Publications
include “Rameau’s Theory of Fundamental
Bass Applied to the Music of the French Overture
by Lully, Rameau, and Telemann” and "Music
Notes and Rhythms, Volume I, co-written with
Ms. Carol Johnson in English and Spanish.
In 1994 she became
a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Society and the
National Dean’s List. From 2000-2003 she
was awarded with the University Graduate Scholarship
from the Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music. In
2007 she has just recently been accepted into
Who’s Who.
